General Comments

I admit I bought this guitar on pure aesthetic appeal alone, I was willing to sacrifice a little tone- after all i have a high end Martin for that sort of thing.

I was wrong- big booming bass, great mids and a real sparkle to the treble.

The guitar feels solid and well made, the finish is impeccable. There was one tiny fleck of black in one of the bindings thats all. I had to look close- and thats it.

Setup out of the box is a little high for my liking- I've purchased a bone nut and saddle which I'll install next string change and lower the action.

I'm thinking long and hard about buying into the 'brands' these days. Maybe the Gibson version has something special but at £2500 its something I'll probably never see. This Epiphone is so good I dont think I'll have to.
