Price, network card and modem, upgradability
AGP slot only supports certain graphics cards but I guess most decent card are Nvidia chipsets these days.
Needed a PC for my partner as she started Open Uni course and the Gladiator XP seemed to give us everything we needed without breaking the bank. Modem got her on the net fine and the network card allowed me to hook her up to my PC via crossover cable to let her share my printer and MP3 collection.
A sound buy, it arrived quickly and I found the answers to my emails very informative which led me to purchasing this model. On reflection i think that I should have saved up a bit more cash and got the next model up with the CDRW but since I was in a rush and low on funds (you know how it is) I got the L300.
After a quick read of the manual and a peak inside to case I was glad to see it really was upgradable.
