General Comments
I never wanted anything to do with the advantage gold account from Natwest because to me the charge was just a waste of money. However when they sat me down in the branch and went through the benefits I decided to give it a go.
I am pleased I did. I cancelled my old phone insurance which was £9.99 with my phone provider, when my annual breakdown cover came through is what going to cost me £120 including home start. So those two work out to £20 month and I am getting them both with my advantage gold for £12.95.
That's before I even consider the travel insurance savings and the extra years warranty on household items. I have just registered my washing machine with them so I am comfortable knowing that after my year's warranty with Bosch is over I will have another years cover with the advantage gold...happy days!
There are loads of other extras I haven't even started to use yet, oh and I have just added my husband to my account and he also gets phone cover and we don't have to pay any extra.
People take free banking for granted. When I think of everything we get from our banks and don't pay a bean. The UK is about the only country with free banking so to pay a small fee like this and get all these benefits is fantastic. One thing is for sure we won't be having a free banking service for much longer...
