“Got the Sony playstation 80GB model with choice of 2...”

Got the Sony playstation 80GB model with choice of 2 games, 2 Blu Ray movies, and HDMI cable for £299 from HMV. Looks amazing standing there with it's glossy finish and no noise from the fan at all (unlike my X-Box 360 Elite).

Firstly played The Dark Knight and quality / effects were so stunning I had to stop playing it and call some friends round to enjoy it. Secondly played Tiger Woods '09 and again was blown away by the amazing graphics.

The Blu Ray functionality has lots of options and firmware is easily updated via wireless connection (which is the difference between a good Blu Ray player and a bad one, except not many standalone Blu Ray players have a wireless connection so it's pretty manual). Did I mention it has built in WiFi and Bluetooth?

PSN (Playstation Network) is the platform used to connect to other users online if you have a broadband connection. It's free (unlike the rival company), reliable, and has lots of useful tools. You can access the Playstation Store for free to download trial versions of games before you fork out between £15 - £40 for them and discover you don't like them. WipEout HD is the only true 1080p game right now and is around £14 currently via Playstation Store.

The wireless controller lasts around 30 hours, and takes 30 mins to charge (It can also be used whilst charging, so you get 1 hour play from 1 minute charge.

Warranty is 1 year pick up & return, but Sony are known for repairing units over 1 year. After all, it's all about market share, and they don't want us buying an X Box (not that you would want to after buying this power house of a beast)....

Sony have got this product down to a T.
