I was involved in a collision in March 2008 which was not my fault and at worst could have been considered 50:50. I was insured by Shiela's Wheels, the other party insured by Esure - turns out they are both the same company. I didn't feel assured that my claim was being taken seriously and when I delved deeper after numerous emails to customer services, and calls to the claims department, they said it was my fault based on the witness statement (who I beleive to be a friend of the other party) and the accident report (which was noted down as me being hit on the wrong side of the vehicle). Following questioning, they changed to 50:50 and made the assumption that I would not claim (the damage was £700, the other party zero). They increased my monthly premium because the claim was still outstanding at renewal in August and whilst they've now put the fee down again slightly, have refused to review the policy now that the claim is 'settled' (I requested protected no claims when I took the policy out in 2007 and which they denied again at renewal in August). I've asked for the file and will see where I get to!
