Clean trains internally and externally
Bad Points
Reliability decreasing over time with little information given to passengers. North of Birmingham appear to take second place to Virgin trains in schedules so get delayed more.
General Comments
A company that takes care of the rolling stock but not as much the passengers, who are delayed or trains cancelled without explanation. Worst is when running so late that a train terminates early, i.e. a late running train to Liverpool is curtailed at Crewe. Last is a general moan about all railway companies who offer free reservations, many seats at peak times have reservations which aren't taken up, so charge a nominal fee of £2 and stop the wasters. Regarding compensation always ask when renewing your season ticket if there is a discount due to delays experienced in general on your route, usually I get a 5% discount. This is a national rail discount not specific to a train company, but if you don't ask unlikely it is offered, and always claim compensation from London Midland if over 30 minutes late, at least unlike Virgin, it is a freepost address
