Good Points

Good range of furniture and good special offers.


General Comments

We bought a sofa and armchair recently. After 7 days we noticed that the feet had been put on incorrectly by the delivery man, and on having a closer look noticed that he had also torn the fabric under the chair. We had inspected the chair prior to him putting the feet on so had thought it was fine. M & S refused to deal with the problem because we did not report it within 3 days. However, on no occasion were we told that we had 3 days to do so and none of the paperwork including the terms and conditions states this. They told us we had to complain to the Furniture Ombudsman which we did. They agreed that there was no way of us knowing about the 3 day policy and awarded us £100. However, all we wanted was for M & S to repair the chair. M & S have offered no aplogy. I would not buy furniture from M & S again. If, however, you do, beware the 3 day policy!
