On the whole I am very pleased with my Rover75 Club and agree it is a great pity that they are no longer in production . The fuel pump problem is a bit worrying due to the cost although is it a problem with the car or the fuel suppliers. I was forever singing my rover 75 tdi 2ltrs praises and was comparing with a BMW5 series which I owned until everything started to go wrong 3 cat converters electrical problems hopeless in winter weather on the slightest incline,Volvo480
le door hinges parted company with car both those cost a lot of cash to buy and repair.the rover I could not fault and have been very happy with it 52,000 miles later . I do believe that due to contaminated diesel that the fuel pumps of which there are 3 are prone to failure and become gunged up this is due to bacteria in the fuel and water getting in somehow ,to replace the 3 pumps is not cheap.I had to replace all 3. I have been advised by service garage to add diesel treatment to the fuel one bottle every 6 months it to is not cheap £12 per bottle it is called forte.
