I paid in a large amount of cheques last week and upon checking my statement i noticed the total paid in differed to my paying in slip. On contacting the bank i was told that some of the cheques must of gone missing but they couldn't tell me which ones. I have been told to ring each individual cheque issuer and ask them to check if it has gone throught their bank and that i need to take their sort code and account number for the banks reference. Needless to say, people are not happy!
I feel at my wits end as cahoot are just not being helpful at all.
