Good Points

This was a small but fantastic hotel, it's a run by an Italian family in which you get a very warm, personal service in a traditional atmosphere.

Bad Points

Only one bad point from my perspective, La Fontaine is located down the hill from Sauze D'Oulx in the village of Jouvenceaux so it's a 15 minute uphill walk for anyone who wishes to go for a drink in the town at night.

General Comments

If your looking to stay at a commercialised hotel located next to the clubs and bars with all the mod cons, then this is not the place for you.
However if your looking to experience proper Italian hospitality, excellent Italian food, and door step skiing then I would highly recommend La Fontaine to any small group, couple or family. The rooms were basic but clean, our balcony's overlooked the red 12 run.
The food at the hotel was fantastic comprising of typical continental style breakfast; cereal, coffee, bread rolls, ham n cheese, yoghurts etc.
Evening dinner was a set menu sometimes comprosing of 4 courses and the quality was excellent, certainly was a nice change from the usual repetitive buffet style.
The other major plus point is that the hotel is right next to the Jouvenceaux ski lift, it literally takes 20 seconds to leave the hotel gate and arrive at the lift!
