I've had two rover 200s one a 1.4 the other a 1.6 honda engine. The 1.4 I paid £150 for and it lasted me four years. The 1.,6 died prematurely after a severe disagreement with a deer. For the money, no car is better. They are cheap to buy and run and have a cracking engine and good equipment levels. Miles better than an escort or astra of the same time, but has a few bad points. It's no longer up to date, feels old, don't get one without power steering
