I am a relatively reserved 16 year old from England. I first saw Wicked on 26th March 2008. And i can honestly it changed my life "for good". Kerry Ellis' performance as Elphaba blew me away, her singing is exceptional and is one of the best talents we have in this country, her performance of "im not that girl" brought me to tears and her spellbinding rendition of Defying Gravity sent chills down my spine. Dianne Pilkington wowed as G(a)linda. Her performance of Popular had me in absolute fits of laughter and she brought a tear to my eye in the reprise of "im not that girl". Oliver Tompsett was perfect for the role of rebel schoolboy Fiyero and his singing was amazing and he managed to emit such strong energy on stage in Dancing Through Life. This musical is stunning. Its funny, emotional, musical, meaningful and i felt such a connection with it, as did my best friend when she came to see it with me. I think its amazing that a musical has managed to make such a connection with me. as i am not really a west end girl. I feel like i understand Elphie and it really surprised me how good it was. I have now seen it a total of 4 times and have just booked to go for a 5th in April with my other best friend who is also a Wicked nut. We can't wait. I absolutley adore this musical.
