Good Points

Heavy Hitting Album. Slipknot followed through with their promise and did whatever the hell they wanted.

Bad Points

Corey seems to have slipped into his Stonesour voice in "Snuff". Let's keep the bands separate, please, Mr. Taylor.

General Comments

This album is a deliciously dark medley of darkness and... lesser darkness? With bone-crunching tracks like "Gematria" and "Psychosocial" setting the pace for the album, the band still finds time to tempt us with some lighter melodies, (Snuff) and some darkly gothic harmonies (Gehenna) overall, one of the best albums of the year.
