Low usage of computer - very short scan time compared with the AVG free that I uninstalled, which took 3 hrs+ I had thought that it removed all cookies, but was told only those which were a threat, therefore there is a need for other products such as Ccleaner to clear all temporary files and cookies from your system. Otherwise easy to use and works quietly in the background. After working fine for a week, with automatic updates scheduled I was unable to update at all. The downloads only went up to 25% of download and then stopped. Irritating warning messages for me to update and could not. Support team were unable to sort this out for me and after 10 days without any updates I uninstalled BitDefender. It is important to clear the registry and to download BitDefenders Uninstaller to completly clear out the old programme. Even though I had only had my subscription for 2 weeks I was informed there was a newer version, which I downloaded and installed. Updates were then received, but owing to the lack of support and non reply to emails I have asked for a refund. The other irritating feature is in Outlook Express where spam is monitored, this delays the receipt of even safe mail and displays yet another toolbar. There doesn't seem to be a way of switching this feature off.. Very disappointed with the outcome as all the reviews of this product was excellent. But with the non-existent FREE support I found it hard to continue with BitDefender. Many people were having the same problems - see BD Forums. Pity that Customer Care has let this otherwise easy to use, hopefully efficient internet security AV down.
