I purchased my 8000A second hand, payed 200 bucks. When I connected it to my dahlquist dq18 I couldn't believe how good it sounded. Great soundtsage, superb clarity and incredible bass control. You can't get more for that price. I compared it with a electrocompaniet ec1/2, a much more expensive amp: it was a fair competition, but the audiolab basses sounded better shaped, smooth and deep.superb transparency and clarity; powerful, despite his 60+60 w; can drive without any problem any kind of speaker:; "intelligent" tone controls; essential design Only complaints: the plugs on rear panel are very cheap.
