I have owned many brands of vacuum cleaner over the years( electrolux, Goblin, Sebo, Henry etc) the Miele Cat & Dog is infinitely superior! The suction is outstanding and the filtration system ( stopping dust being blown into room) is excellent. Further, a little research online provides replacement bags and accompanying dust filters at a very good price! Superb Build quality rounds off a star buy. Finally, the cable rewind mechanism is robust and works well. The motor burnt out on my machine after 51 weeks and Miele collected the cleaner, provided a 'loan' machine and then fixed my machine and returned it looking like new within 2 weeks!!
I think this fault really was a 'one off' as Miele is, in my opinion, the Rolls Royce of domestic electrical equipment.
