Excellent telephone service - always speak to a real person who is able to help with whatever is needed.
Clear communications.
Very smooth transfer of current accuont from my old bank.
Genuinely prioritise customer service - as opposed to just saying they do. I recently switched my current account to First Direct and the entire process has been incredibly easy. They provide all the information in good time, make an otherwise daunting process very straightforward and are always ready to help at the end of the phone if you need advise or reassurance.

What's more - they are giving me a £100 as a switching incentive. Maybe the process of opening my bank account invovled them sending me one or two letters more than I feel was strictly neccessary and their marketing comms could be quite wasteful from an environmental perspective - but this is a very minor complaint.
