Quiet location in a nice square
Maybe that was the reason the staff appeared to be having a 'fashion' show and seemed not to be serving the few customers!
Purchased a coat from Reiss on Sunday afternoon in the Market Square W1W branch. It was very quiet, maybe total of 4 customers in the whole shopfloor.
I was disappointed with the quality of customer service I received. The gentleman staff in the ladies department seemed to be giving a fashion 'workout' to one of the girls working there, and not approaching the customers, apparently shouting across the shopfloor about his 'fashion opinions'.
I picked out a jacket whilst all the staff in the ladies department (3 ladies and 1 man ) looked to be having a fun time trying out the dresses in the shop meant for customers viewing. I then proceeded to pay, very and I mean very unwillingly, the man had come to serve me. I received no greetings whatsoever and said out the price seemingly bluntly, no 'please' or 'thank you'. He seemed very annoyed that he had to make a phone call to the credit card company, didn't explain what he was doing with my credit card, I had to ask. I thought that his body language was not professional at all. He then just folded the jacket in a rushed manner and chucked into a bag. I had to ask for it to be put in some tissues as it was raining heavily outside.
Is it the way that Reiss trained the staff to treat customers in this manner? As all of you can see in these reviews, there are so many complains about the customer service in Reiss shops, I think it is time they take our reviews seriously in the light of this economic crisis as it would be a shame to lose this international establishment.
