Good Points

Amazing turn of power from turbo. Comfy motorway cruising. Huge boot. Solid Build. Excellent economy driving on long runs.


Bad Points

Although genuine parts are always the best to use for durability, main dealership servicing can be expensive and often main dealers can scare you into sticking to their service schedules regardless of your driving style and annual mileage.


General Comments

Overall the Passat by far overshadows rivals like the Mondeo and Vectra for build and performance. 600 miles to a tank on long journeys but In the real world expect to get more like 42-43 mpg combined rather than the claimed 48.
