I found navigation around the site quite easy with quick links to your messages (if you were lucky enough to get any!), profile etc. With a click of a button you were able to delete or change your profile, add pictures etc. so it was easy to update info. It did state on the male profiles what part of the country they came from etc so it was quite easy to determine guys in your area. The site also included a section where advice was given about meeting with someone for the first time ie..never give out your phone number, meet in a public place etc. which I thought to be really good.

The males had to pay to membership which perhaps could be really costly so quite a few had opted to leave the site. Messages sent to your inbox were not screened prior to getting sent so sometimes nasty messages were recieved from not so genuine guys which were reported then blocked.

I was on Girls Date For Free for quite a few months and it seemed to be that most guys were on there for one night stands not dating/friendship so beware if you are too trustworthy!!! Also beware guys that ask if you have a webcam after sending a couple of messages to you via the site.. their intentions may be made clear within seconds of your response. I was asked loads of times if I possessed a webcam and although I do, I always said I didnt. Genuine men, if interested will take the time to chat to you via the site, not try and persuade you to turn your webcam on for kicks!!! I suppose the latter could be said for any dating site though and not just gdff. Maybe gdff could screen messages prior to delivering them in your inbox!!! Photographs on profiles may or may not be genuine either. I found this out the hard way.. I met a guy for coffee and when he turned up he was nothing like his photo..In fact he was about ten years older , Needless to say I made a hasty retreat, but that didnt stop him from sending nasty messages through the site which I reported.However it must be said that there are real genuine guys out there ladies because I found one!! I have been with my partner now for a year and a half and all is going well. We met through gdff and now plan to relocate down south from Scotland in the near future . My profile has been deleted and I for one have no intention of signing up again. It worked for me, but who knows what the future holds!!
