I, like others, thought it was good when I signed up to Parship. I thought the compatiblity test was a good idea.
I forgot to deactivate the auto renewal and only two days after the renewal emailed them to say it was a mistake and I didn't want 3 more months at £57, they were not budging and insisted I carried on. I accepted that it was my fault for not doing so then did deactivate. 3 months later, miraculously one day it said on the site that my membership was terminating then the next day suddenly its back on without me renewing and my credit card charged.
I have emailed them twice and no reply so have disputed the card transaction with my bank for them to deal with. I doubt I will get the money back and I am absolutely livid.

    Parship would like to respond to all reviewers who have raised concerns about our automatic renewal policy. Most organisations, whose revenue is subscription based - and this includes the vast majority of online dating companies - use automatic renewal to provide continuity of service to their members. Parship is no different and we would like to stress that we are not in business to mislead or take advantage of our members. After all, they are the life blood of our business.

    However, we are listening to our customers and have, as a result, improved our website to ensure transparency and fairness of our processes. The changes we have implemented include more clear flagging-up of automatic renewal upon purchase and sale confirmation (both onsite and in email communications) AND making it easier for our members to access and cancel the automatic renewal facility. Overall, our members will now be clearly advised and guided from various parts of the website with simple and clear instructions.
