General Comments

I flew with Emirates from London to Cape Town via Dubai. Emirates has a good reputation, but offers a poor service.

Firstly, the seats on the plane are tiny and cut off the circulation in your legs. When you recline, the bottom of the seat rises and makes your legs dangle in the air. There are no footrests, so you lose feeling in your feets after just 20 minutes of sititng there. The seats are also incredibly narrow, and sitting in the middle of two men meant I had no armrests for my own.

Secondly, some staff seem to ignore any special requests. When checking in to fly back to London I asked a member of staff if the flight was full. She said it was rather empty, so we requested exit row seats as my partner is 6'3". We were told that they don't give exit row seats to couples and can only give out one. But when we got on the plane we found that there were 4 free exit row seats!! The two men occupying the two rows had three seats to themselves each.

We went with Emirates because they were cheapest. But from now on I have vowed to pay more as the service is very poor and should be avoided if possible.
