Royal Mail appears to have a problem with their customer service representatives, I had the occasion to telephone them on monday to complain about the erratic mail delivery in our area and also to say that we have had several letters either lost or delivered to the wrong house. I first of all spoke to a man who often interrupted me. I rang again and spoke to a woman who although she let me speak she seemed so defensive, so I asked to speak to a supervisor. I then asked whether he could make it a formal complaint which he said he could but I had to ask for this, despite the fact that he was extremely polite I was still not given a customer reference. I then emailed and explained the problems I had encountered and at last received the reply I was looking for, the gentleman apologised and said this was not their normal standards and also gave me a customer reference and stated that our local sorting office would be informed of my concerns.
