Bad Points
Retrieving forgotten password is a confusing task and it need to be user friendly.

General Comments
This service provides great features than the paid alternatives. It is the must have for the regular netizens and users of Google services. Large space for the email and attachments. Expiration of ID and its time limit is more compared to other services.No flash & banner ads and only text ads are displaying and it does not consume more system resources.Spam control is good.Starring particular mails to easy to identify them is a good feature.They don't display message ads in the mailboxes.POP access for offline reading.
