Good Points

Extremely accurate with scope. Power is excellent. Very reliable. Not a toy gun, this must be treated like as a firearm. Trigger action is awesome. Price is awesome; $99 Bass Pro Shops.

Bad Points

I found it a bit heavy, but manageable for my several treks through heavy woods. Trigger is plastic, I'd prefer metal. Trigger action is awesome for a gun in this price range.

General Comments

Ruger Air Hawk .177. Broke in nicely after 100 shots. No accuracy can be attempted until rifle quits dieseling. Quality is excellent considering the price. Scope came lose once, locktighted everything. Has a scope stop built in.

Tried 3 types of pellets.
Crosman Pointed Hunting Pellets, shoot low and to the left.
Gamo Armor Piercing, Shoot straight and high.
Crosman Premier Hollowpoints, shoot straight and accurate, shot groups nearly touching at 50 meters.

Power is great, I primarily use this to hunt small game. 75 yard shots are no problem. Power is just slightly less than a .22 Long Rifle, and sometimes equal in my opinion.

In Southern Michigan it is the perfect small game rifle, you do not have to worry about the round traveling for miles and striking someone or something unintended.
