Encounters between missions can be too similar, same places reused for totally different scenarios making story unconvincing.


General Comments

Far Cry is great looking, free roaming (within reason) good weapons and control. A good attempt but don't just do one player levels, go on line.If you play it in the spirit in which it was designed to be played you'll love it and it'll steal time off you. Compare it to a Halo, Resistance style shooter you'll be gutted. Don't question why people reappear or convoys go round and round in a set route or you'll just get disappointed. Great attempt (maybe not for top price money) but a good one for collection and check out online...

    Couldn't agree more, I was really looking forward to sinking my teeth into an immersive single-player experience, but the constant re-spawning of enemies and general predictability of the game disappointed.

    Admittedly, the game world is pretty rich and the terrain varied enough to keep you interested, but there are just too many balancing issues in this game to make it truly enjoyable.

    You can pick it up for around £17 now, and it's worth it for that price just for the online multiplayer alone.
