My dog has been insured with Petplan since I got her aged 8 weeks, she is now 10 yrs old with a heart condition. Claims settled reasonably quickly, new form sent with each settlement. I have to pay £35 premium per month, an excess of £105 each year plus 20% of every claim. She needs £120 medication each month of which I am reiimbursed approx £52 net. This is not good value for money and is certainly not peace of mind; 20% of vet's fees could represent a hefty bill if lifesaving treatment were required in an emergency. I would never insure a pet with them again.
