General Comments

I took delivery of this bike today so this review is based primarily on the service from the supplier, and the aesthetics of the bike itself. Having researched a new (and first) 125cc motorbike for mny weeks on the web, i happened across the Jinlun and saw the mixed reviews.

I decided to take a chance on the bike as being 6'2" and 16 stone, i didnt relish the idea of riding a scooter of tiny sports bike. This brings me onto the first point about the Jinlun -It is a massive bike for a 125cc! It is solid, very heavy and feels the same in terms of size and weight as the 1200cc Honda Shadow (as i sat on recently) Sitting astride the bike, you feel like you are on a Harley. You are surrounded by steel and chrome and feel a million dollars. Mine also has the slashcu exhausts ( £60 fitted by dealer) which mean this bike roars and not in a blown exhaust way. It really does raw like a huge powerful bike.

The bikes come with a remote control keyfob which controls the alarm, which is staggering sensitive in a good way, and a remote starter. Just to explain (as i was uncear about what this was) This enables you to stand next to the bike or a few meters away, hit a button and have your machine roar into life as you walk towards it! Incredily posey and a real head turning feature.

Other factory fitted features include:

- Sissy bars
- Rear Panniers (which really add to the Harley look)
- Twin spotlamps at the front
- Immobiliser
- Remote alarm /starter
- Windscreen (optional fit)

In addition to this i also ordered twin Voltmeter and rev counter gauges which really add to the dashboard of the bike, a center stand and a leather tool roll (which again adds to the harley cruiser look)

The chrome work on the bike is astonishing from first impressions and i guarantee people will stop and stare when you park this up.

The service i received from SJ Bikes in Braintree was also excellent, they were more than happy to put up with my stupid newbi questions. Delivering himself, he gave me a full run through of the bikes features and controls and was in no hurry to just drop off and go. He went through all the paperwork and made sure i was completely happy before he left.

With regard to longevity, as with anything if you look after it it will last and look after you. As a member of the Jinlun owners club, there are many people on there that will confirm how well these bike run and lastin terms of finish, but if you dont want something you need to take care of, dont get a bike covered in shiny chrome!

Overall, i am ecstatic with this machine. I cant believe such a beautiful bike is here in my garage as my FIRST bike and never imagined i would get onto something that looks and sounds so amazing. For anyone on the fence about these bikes - go for it! You wont regret it and people wont believe that you picked one up for under £1500 with al the accs mentioned above.
