Good Points

Highest resolution (FULL HD 1080p at 24fps) available in the market, vivid colors, overall good sound quality, easy menus, contrast auto-adjustment depending on the ambient light (COOL!!!). Very good selection of imputs. Many other useful adjustments and settings.


Bad Points

Design a bit outdated.


General Comments

Overall the Toshiba 37XV555DB is a brilliant buy, I was to choose between LG and Toshiba and I'm glad I've made the right choice. Apart from the less stylish design, of which I'm not complaining at all but I have friends who do, I think this is the best TV in it's class.
I haven't mentioned the freeview tuner in the good points coz it's pretty common this days but I have to say it does a really good job with the picture, the quality being notably superior then of a standard freeview box.
So if u'r a gamer (there is a preset "GAME MODE" for picture enhancement so u can squeeze the most out of your XB360 or PS3) or you watch high definition movies ( BLUE-RAY or the discontinued HD-DVD) or u wanna hook up your PC on it (it features a PC mode) or all of the free u won't be disappointed with this LCD.
On the other hand if you want a TV only for freeview and DVD playback I suggest you focus on the 720p HD Ready class. That is the highest resolution that will be broadcasted in the near future.
