General Comments

I flew out from JFK bound to COK (Cochin, India) the day before Thanksgiving. Got to the check-in counter earlier than usual so the wait in the line became longer than expected. Check-in was smooth. It was while in line that I found out about the attacks going on in India. Despite a bit of anxiety, and expecting security to be on high, it was tolerable.
Boarding for a 9pm flight started at 8pm and it was chaos (as always). The flight ended up being full which meant no room to breathe. I was seated in front of a family that knew nothing about controlling their kids from kicking and pulling the seats back. Unfortunately the TV screens did not work for the entire 12 hour flight to Kuwait. Thank goodness I had my iPod to save my sanity.
Seating in economy has to be the worst experience. KA has very little legroom, even for an average sized passenger. Recline and pitch is somewhat okay, but if you're stuck with a window seat in economy with strangers next you that are sound sleepers, you're doomed.
Flight attendants were not impressive in their hospitality skills. They did not respond to calls and handed out food like one was invisible. Speaking of food, it is not worth writing about. It's the typical Indian spread with a side salad and something resembling a dessert.
All in all, I would spend a few extra bucks for an upgrade because almost 24 hours of traveling in economy will most likely bring out the worst in anyone.
