CRT monitors versus LCD/TFT - no contest.
Crisp clear text, bright screen and good colour rendition.
General Comments
My 19" monitor (Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 900u) finally went bang and I replaced it with a Philips 170B 17" TFT display. It is fantastic. The 17" LCD screen is virtually the same size as a 19" CRT monitor. The LCD screen is bright and clear and the text is so crisp it is a delight to use. No more eye strain and lots more desk space. I chose the Philips TFT monitor because it offered the best value for money and had good reviews in the PC Pro magazine 17" TFT display tests. Highly recommended.
