Good Points

hundreds of games to play
millions of items to build collections
random events
key quest
merchanting/trading
paintbrushes - very rare but if they were too common there wouldnt be pride in finally having that darigan/baby pet
plots - differs between plots great storylines


Bad Points

scams are easy to happen.
there is no limit on pricing beside the 99,999 np shop wizard max so you could get an item for 80,000 when its only worth 20.
shops generally sell items above their value in the player owned shop wizard so you have to know whats worth it and whats not.


General Comments

neopets is overall a good site. there is nothing like it elsewhere other than marapets which is small compared to neopets.. if you like games neopets has hundreds and you can just play those day in day out. some are like remakes of pacman or tetris there is guarenteed to be some you like. they host events called plots which involve a range of puzzles, battledome challenges and good valued virtual items.

my favourite thing atm is the new mmorpg called key quest which is a board game where you collect one of 5 keys. if you get the gold key as the prize (come 1st) you could get a valuable paintbrush.

they must have millions of virtual items ranging from 1 neopoint value to multi millions of neopoints. the most valueable item i think is called fish negg or tyora's tear. they have their own forum. membership privalages i dont know about cus ive never tried but planning to. overall i think this site is unique and definitely a recommendation. it might look babyish but most people i do meet are fellow adults over 16
