Bad Points

Safety is not automatic, so greater care is needed, especially with children. As noisy as most springers in this price bracket

General Comments

The BSA Meteor Mk7 has a very capable full power, full size spring powered air rifle. If you like a rifle with recoil, this is a good first rifle that you may never want to change. Over 2 million Meteors sold, so can't be too bad ! Quite capable in its basic state for 10 - 15m vermin control or garden plinking, although with telescopic sights this rifle would really shine. The BSA Meteor Meteor Mk7 is a full power, break barrel, spring action air rifle. Whilst no where as smooth or as quiet as a PCP, or quite as elegant as some higher end springers, it is a very capable full size, full power air rifle. We have had ours for a couple of weeks now, and is as much fun as our Air arms S400 and SMK 15. The 'fibre optic' sights really are quite good although telescopic sights would extend the usable range considerably if fitted to the existing machined mounting rail. The finish is very good, as is the adjustable trigger mechanism. The Mk 7 has a chequered stock which is the obvious difference to the lower powered Mk6.
