Good Points

The Artful Dodger was really good, probably too much as he outshone the Welsh Oliver. All the other children were great too. Food Glorious Food at the start was spectacular. My other best bit was when the pickpockets emerge from behind the statue, where did they all come from!

Bad Points

Nancy was a stand in and I didn't think she really had much charisma. Bill Sykes really doesn't get much of a look in. More could have been made of how evil he is. I didn't like 'will you buy'. It's a bit random and boring.

General Comments

Although Oliver was good, and Rowan Atkinson was very witty as Fagin, I felt the second half was much quicker than the first in how the story comes out and it becomes quite hard to keep up. I thought the first half was just better generally. I havn't seen many musicals and Oliver! falls in third behind Joseph and Blood Brothers.
