In August 08 a group of 9 of us went to Ionian Sea View Apartments, Kavos. We felt absolulty robbed as the holiday cost us 550 pound each and the hotel was not as expected, the food was terrible and expensive and the staff were rude! they have a supermarket that if you went and bought a drink you were not allowed to take to the pool with you, only food and drink bought from the very expensive pool bar were allowed down there! for the money we payed we expected air conditioning and more than 1 roll of toilet roll per week! our door key was bent and took us about 5 minutes to lock and unlock the door! the swimming pool was dirty as i got an ear infection and the doctor told me it was from the pool. on our last morning you have to be out the room at 12 noon we had the owner of the hotel naerly kicking our door in at 930am to get us out of the room. the kitchen is a sink and cooking ring inside a cupboard. we felt robbed at the prices they charged for drinks at the pool bar 4euros for a glass of coca cola which he pours out of a 2 litre bottle in fromt of your face. i would never recommend this hotel to anyone but i would recommend the resort kavos is a fantastic palce if you are young and like to go out to bars and clubs.
