I ordered tickets through www.ticketmaster.co.uk 4 months prior to the event. After not receiving it in within 2 months I decided to call to find out what was going on because a friend of mine told me that I should have already gotten them. I called, waited, was trasferred, was given different and numerous numbers until I was able to talk to someone to find out that they did not have my address on file so they had no where to deliver it to. (But let me back up for a while.) I received an email about a week after ordering the tickets saying that they have been printed out and will be delivered to me in a plain white envelope.
First off, wouldn't they even try to contact me if there was no address for the paying customer who ordered the tickets??? at least via email since I'm sure they had that on file so they can reach me this way.
So I ask the customer service person that and he said they didn't have my email on file. So I said, "Then how was I able to get a confirmation from Ticketmaster that they had printed out my tickets and would be delivered to me". He was silent for a while and just said, "I don't know ma'am."
He then said that they would immediately mail them to me and I began to give him my address.
*6 weeks later*
Still no tickets in the mail! I then called that Monday before my show on Friday. I was more frustrated than worried. The show was in 4 days and I still didn't have my tix. I was already not wanting to go see the show anymore eventhough this was for our wedding anniversary.
So I emailed customer service about my problem. She emails me back apologizing and offering to upgrade my seats to Orchestra as oppose to Balcony, which I defintely was for.
I kept calling her back at the missed phone number she left me on my cell phone. She told me to call her back. I call back that number and ask for Elizabeth employee # -------. They proceed to tell me there was no Elizabeth. Ugh! I was getting more and more frustrated. It took me a whole day to get this straightened out with them finally giving me my Orchestra tix that I would have to pick up at will-call, charging me an extra 178.50 on my debit card which I told them not to put on that certain card and I proceeded to give them a new card... That caused me to get 2 overdraft charge.
It was a hassle and the most expensive show tickets that I have ever ended up buying.
It was not pretty. But all in all, I'm just going to enjoy my night with my husband despite all that I had to go through wtih Ticketmaster. You'd think they would at least give me some kind of discount or even wave the extra convenience/building charges.
