Caffe Nero Review

Good Points
Appeared a nice location....pleasant seating, etc...

Bad Points
Although I could see no sign anywhere to inform me...they do not take payments by cards of any sort,...therefore the first you're likely to know about this is as you're about to pay!...as I did.
Not impressed with staff attitude. Coffees were not very hot. Poor toilets...hand drier broken but no alternative offered.

General Comments
Visited the Macclesfield branch of Cafe Nero just before Xmas. As mentioned above,...no card payments taken. As I was unaware of this until about to pay, I found myself in a situation where I was £1 short,...not what you want when you're stood there with a tray of hot drinks!...My son was with me luckily and was able to dash out to a nearby cashpoint. Nevertheless it meant my standing by the counter as the drinks got cooler until he returned. As I saw nothing anywhere to inform me of this,...I felt very 'put out',...but never got so much as an apology for the inconvenience caused to me from the person serving me,...who seemed very off hand towards me. By the time I sat down, my drink (which was not exactly hot to start), was even cooler!...Suffice to say, I will not be returning.
