Good Points

Quite a good dry spin, seems to be quite easy to take apart when it goes wrong, uses only about 850W/wash.


Bad Points

Noisy motor, reliability, pump filter not accessible from front of machine, washes seem to take a long time.


General Comments

Owned this Creda W200FW for a year, but not its first owner. When I got this machine it was only 4 years old but the main bearing was already going - apparently this is a common problem on these machines. Quality of parts inside suggests the fault was pretty much inevitable as a steel shaft passes through a shaft seal and corrodes at this point. Then water gets into the bearings. There is a drain hole, but it is so high up that the water would rather pass through the bearings first thus causing them to fail.
Other than that, it works okay.
I'm going to attempt repair, parts are on their way, but when it breaks again, I'm not buying another Creda/Hotpoint.
