Good Points

Smart, compact, not bad looking for a commuter/sports bike
Around town its at its best. Nippy through the traffic. Don't need to shave the handle bars down. Side mirrors fly neatly over most saloon car mirrors. Breaks v. good and stability is surprising for quite an up right bike.

Bad Points

Fairly heavy, not as light as a the new VFR which surprises me.
Gear changes are a bit painful in 1st through 3rd. Can make a horrible clunk every so often.
Needs a fuel gauge, a bit annoying sitting at lights and you feel the engine splutter...giving you about 15 seconds to reach over and switch the fuel lever to reserve. Made even more difficult with winter gloves on.
Forget about pillions. It doesn't like someone hanging off the back. Feels like it will break any moment.

General Comments

Bought my Honda Hornet in 02. Still happily pottering along. Don't buy a black one, the muck and scratches show up too well (like any vehicle that is black really).
Must have a half faring, couldn't imagine what it would be like without one... difficult.
If your over 6 foot, it sometimes feels like your on a toy bike as you seem to hang over it, rather than ride it. Looks a bit odd trying to tuck down behind the fairing on the tank with your knees up around you ears... not a good look.
