Bad Points

Misleading intrerest rate publicity, misleading charges publicity.
Lack of response and poor documentation on charges and interest.


General Comments

Applied to open account by post on 9th October. Account finally opened on 24th Nov (7 weeks later, although actual documents not received until December - no postmark, of course!). Paid in cheque immediately. Was charged 5.00 for "inactivity fee" in November even though we had no paying-in mechanism until December.
Interest rate catch BEWARE you only get 0.10% on your balance in excess over £1,000 right from Day 1. Whilst this clear when you finally get the Ts&Cs as part of your opening pack, the publicity and website text does NOT make this clear enough.
Asked on Friday 2nd January by telephone, fax and letter for account to be closed and charges refunded - these comms have not even been acknowledged as of 7th January, and no sign of our money!
