Good Points

Amount of space between needle arm and body. Pivot facility which allows you to keep needle down and move material around. Baing ble to alter pre set stitches


Bad Points

Not enough room under needle arm to be able to thread easily. Getting the tension right is a nightmare, you never kno if it is going to work or not ad this takes the pleasure out of sewing. Will probably return it to the shop as I've only had ot a few days.


General Comments

I have always wanted a Husquarna as I considered this sewing machine to be one of the top. I was excited when I got the machine home and could'nt wait to get started. I read the manuals from cover to cover and began just trying out different stitches. My main issues are with the lack of space underneath the needle arm, it is really difficult to thread up, it feels clumbsy and I don't have big hands, perhaps they have extra small hands in Sweden. I'm not overerly impressed with the stitching, I have tried different embroidery stitches, the tension is difficult to get right, it seems positively critical, and the material has a tendency to pucker on some of the embroidery stitches. The needle threader, seems to pull the thread right up sometimes which is then difficult to disentangle. After having paid what to me was a huge amount of money, I am a bit dissappointed. When I sit down to sew, I wonder whats going to happen next. The shop have been very good and said if I don't like it to bring it back, so I might well do this and swap it for the Janome Quilters companion which I think will be easier to use. It is a shame as I've always wanted the Husquarna.
