Good Points

Wide selection, good price, easy returns in the case of problems


Bad Points

Slow delivery times, bad packaging, books often damaged, CDs never sealed


General Comments

Amazon have the widest selection of any website, the prices are often cheap and ordering is easy.

However, the free delivery option is often incredibly slow, with orders sitting in the Amazon system ("we are preparing these items for dispatched") often for several days.

Packaging is sometimes very poor (due to overstretched staff) - for example, large format books forced into boxes that are too small. The cardboard mailers that Amazon use are easily opened at one end, which means couriers or a postal workers often remove items. Putting them back isn't so easy, resulting in books with bent corners and dirty fingerprints when the person decides not to steal the item.

Returns are generally easy and Amazon will refund your postage cost.
