Emusic uses a classic "free" signup and then starts charging quietly $19.99 per month. I called to cancel and they said they had a "no refund" policy. It took 10 minutes of gentle prodding but eventually they agreed to refund 1 month. Then 10 more minutes of stronger (but still respectful) complaining and they finally agreed to refund both months.

So don't believe that "no refund" policy. Just keep at it with a fairly cool head and you can get your money back.
