Good Points

- Excellent foreign exchange rates (The best in the class for India)
- Funds transfer within 1 working day
- Adding as many Barclays Bank India beneficiaries.
- Online funds tracker to give check updates on the status of the transaction
- Email alerts on the status of your transactions
- Online, fast and secure remittance


Bad Points

- Only available for Barclays UK to Barclays India
- Upper limit of £3000 a day


General Comments

I have compared a lot of service providers, who are online, and found Barclays online money transfer to be the most efficient, cheap and value for money.

What I did was basically, send money via two operators on the same day and same time. What I got was Barclays Online Transfers credited the Indian account in a single day!! (and the difference was of INR3000) vs. 4 days with the other operator and with a significant loss in the destination amount.
