I loved the first three books and had high hopes for the last one. The first part of the book I generally enjoyed, although it was rather hurried. But as the story carried on it was all too predictable and boring. Stephanie had built up to the climax throughout the whole series, and it just never happened. It would be much better if there was a fight, or if someone died, it would have improved the ending so much. I thought that all the characters lost their traits a lot through this book, and how it contradicted everything wrote in the last three books, such as how vampires couldn ' t have children etc. When reading it, after she had had Renesemme I was itching for the ending to come, I wanted to find out what happened and book three was just not holding enough interest for me.
However, I did finish the story and that always counts for something, and the first part was great. It was not a bad book, but certainly no where near as good as the last three and could do with a lot of editing.

I found this review somewhat helpful because I was looking for another person's view on the book. I just don't think someone has to die to make a good ending?
