Good Points

They are beautiful and sound as good as they look. 4 ohm resistance is good with some amps as it doubles the available power.


Bad Points

Consider their age and that the woofers at least may need to be serviced due to foam rot.


General Comments

These are very easy to live with speakers once you actually get them home. 100# each makes them a task to transport and do not transport them laying down as this is perpendicular to the connecting rod in the bass drivers and may be the last straw in their foam limited life.

Real world (people who have less than $10,00 to spend on stereo) constraints make these the best speakers out there. I suggest bi-amp with tube top and solid state bottom and recommend MIT Terminator 2 speaker cable as a matching bargin and general good match.
