No wires to organise between sensors or the bell, easy to install. The sensors are very flexible and can be used for a range of different circumstances. Good and detailed written instructions and instructional DVD. Simple programme menu, easy to understand and easy to change things or add new sensors, with a good range of optional extras. It will ring your mobile if the alarm goes off when you are away and you can activate or deactivate the alarm by phone. On special offer at Homebase, got mine for £144. FItted in an afternoon and it works straight out of the box.
Bad Points
The only thing I encountered was a minor problem with fitting the door contact sensor. You must make sure the magnet is aligned to the sensor as per the picture on page 7 (door/window contacts) of the manual, dont position the magnet as I did centrally to the sensor, make sure it is further to the right, the manual could have made this clearer.
General Comments
Having fitted this Yale Premium Alarm HSA 6400 to my own house in a matter of three hours, I fitted one to my dads bungalow which is where I encountered the problem with the door sensor, however I resolved this quite quickly, repositioned the magnet, the system approved and all worked fine thereafter (just lucky I got away with it the first time!).
I strongly recommend you read the instructions fully before starting and watching the DVD and then following them to the letter.
The system looks and feels well made with simple controls, nothing overly complicated, don't be put off by the seemingly low price this is a sophisticated unit, I'm happy to recommend.
