Good Points

It is energy saving as you only heat what you use. I think this makes it more than double the efficiency of my kettle due to people overfilling it. The styling is very similar to most kettles on the market. The unit works well, dispensing water at 90c - my kettle gives 94c and I can't tell the difference!
It is very easy to fill since it comes off the base like a cordless kettle! The lid pops up with a quick release button and you fill under tap.

Bad Points

The unit outputs a fixed 250ml at a time. Some of my mugs are nearly this amount so you have to pour off a bit of water. If needed I'll just buy some new larger mugs! It makes a noise similar to steam from a cappucino maker so thats a change from my kettle.

General Comments

I recommend this Breville Hot Cup. My lodgers are terrible for putting up to a litre of water in the kettle and then just boiling for one cup. Whats left goes cold and has to be reheated again. If you reckon that this unit just boils 250ml in one go, thats saved 750ml from being unnecessarily being heated up! I also don ' t like the taste of re-boiled water! I reckon this unit will pay for itself in a couple of years. I bought mine from a well known catalogue store for £50 and paid another £10 for an additional 2 year warranty.
