Good Points

Nice looking machine.


Bad Points

The on;off switch failed after 15 months, and machine gave up after 3 years. It was a noisy machine with a rating of 55db. I am looking for a new machine at the moment, and the decibel rating will be an important factor in making my choice.


General Comments

In general the Indesit IDL 530 is good looking, but I feel it should have been more reliable. Perhaps I was spoiled by our previous machine which lasted 21 years. I have noticed that almost every dishwasher quotes the exact same power consumption, with all of them quoting 'A' rating, so the old rule of buying a more expensive machine that might save you on fuel bill, doesn't really apply anymore I think. I have found a machine quoting a very low decibel rating of 43db, and it may be that it uses better components to achieve this.... time will tell, I suppose.
