Good Points

Good Accuracy after you get one where the barrel locks down flush, with no up/down movement. Never has jammed and I have put at least 3k pellets through my CURRENT (used, purchased online) PT80. I like the balance and feel. Trigger weight in DA is pretty heavy but does lighten up and you will get used to it. Trigger in SA is not light but fairly smooth.

Bad Points

GAMO WILL NOT sell Breech seals; which go out between 50 and 500 shots. This alone is a reason NOT to purchase this gun, unless you want to purchase them from across the pond.
Bad Co2 Cartridge to valve seals.
Most Have floating barrels. You lock barrel down and you can press lightly on rear of slide where it meets receiver and the barrel/slide will go up and down .015" to 0.035" causing wide grouping and low shots. 1 of the GAMO's I returned shot 1/2 inch low at 12 feet, and the sights are NOT adjustable for elevation! Too much over-travel in trigger.

General Comments

Be Careful when changing Co2 Cartridges, DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN [GAMO SAYS; I say poor sealing material and design. The Co2 seals on 1 of the PT80's that I returned to store (returned 4 of these for reasons I will list) and 1 that I still have blew out. GAMO REPLACEMENT Breech Seals are 1/16" under size on the O.D. and over sized on the I.D. by 1/32" compared to original seal!!! The Breech Seal has ripped and blown out on 2 of the PT80's I've owned; 1 returned for blown Breech Seal. Gamo will not sell them; but T.W. Chambers in England or Scotland (bad memory) will for £2.81ea. Expensive? Yes, but a great place for Parts if you get attached to a good one (PT80). I bought 3 breech seals for $17.82 shipped. It is NOT just an O-ring. Most people will probably not even notice it is missing, because it usually cracks and eventually shoots out of the barrel. Do what I did. Buy from local chain store and keep returning them until you get a good one, one without the floating barrel problem. Gamo says the Breech Seal has to be installed at the factory with special tools and jigs. All one needs do is open breech and slip the smaller of the two inside diameters over the exhaust port; make sure it's even all around by twisting the ball of your thumb on it and you are done. The reason the people I have talked to at GAMO say they need to install the seal is that the exploded drawing shows the seal as if it was INSIDE the valve body. The Breech Seals from http:/www.gunspares.co.uk (Chambers Gunmakers/ T.W. Chambers) work great, but do NOT order the Co2 Tip seals, they are the same undersized seal from GAMO and I have all 4 of the replacements from GAMO blow out when loading the 1st Co2 Cartridge; one of them blew right up around the neck of the Co2 cartridge. BTW, here's Chambers Breech Seal part number: BS087, they also have an exploded drawing (for many other guns too) and parts list.

Thanks for the breech seal information. That may be of use to me in the future.
